After a year of wasting away in what is a perfectly nice place, Tatum stumbles across a man stuck on the side of a mountain after a cave-in.

Richard Benedict does play that man, Leo Minossa, who was hunting for artifacts when his legs were trapped, and digging him out is not going to be easy.

But Tatum makes it even harder because he sees a great opportunity to exploit this serious situation as a human interest story, And with a corrupt sheriff's help, not to mention Leo's bitter wife Lorraine, played by Jan Sterling.

She'd been in Johnny Belinda before this came out and was nominated for her work in The High and the Mighty after it.

There isn't that much else in her resume I thought was worth mentioning, though.

The man playing her husband, Richard Benedict, had been in Crossfire, a noir in the 40s, I think it was, and went on to be in the Ocean's Eleven 1960 version.

Beyond that, plenty of meh.
