Riad

The reason, again, because of the diversity, the landscape of Morocco.

I know when booking a riad, for example, riads are really, really popular-

Yeah

... um, especially, you know, for small groups or just family, couple, and stuff like that.

But when you're young, you, you, you see the riad, you love it, but you don't really pay attention to that five-minute walk that took you to the riad, or that 10-minute or 15-minute walk that took you to the riad-

... or those massive stairs to get from level one to level two or level three.

You have to explain it to them, "Hey, I have some guests.

This is the Kazbah Quarter, the quietest corner of the old town.

In the past, this was where the governor lived, where the royal guards slept.

Today, it is home to a few Riads and some very old families who still keep their doors open and their curtains drawn against the glare.

I turn down a shaded lane, stepping over a threshold worn smooth by centuries of feet.

The air drops 10 degrees in an instant.

Very bougie all together.

And, you know, in saying that, we do have a couple of other properties around us of the similar size as well, which is great.

There is a lot more calling themselves Riyads in the Medina, which are Airbnbs, which are smaller properties.

And they're grabbing that name, you know, as well as there is big private equity companies coming in in their droves trying to get into the market.

So, yeah, we're a very small family business.

If Mykonos is Moira's style, it's seven nights in a four-star hotel with day access to the Tropicana Beach Club for the day.

But if Marrakesh takes your fancy, we're going to sort you out with a seven-night Moroccan Riyadh stay with a shopping tour and a hot air balloon as well, which is just nuts.

That's the icing on the cake for me, I think, for Marrakesh, to be honest.
