It's called Betty's Screen Test from May 18th, 1950.

The reason why it's special is because Rhoda Williams, who plays Betty, and Robert Young, the star of our show, plays Jim, the father, both shine in different ways in this episode.

We'll talk about it after we get back.

Here is Betty's Screen Test, May 18th, 1950, on Radio Retropolis.

This is the father character that would be, or that he would become in the final season of the radio series and, of course, all throughout the television series.

And Betty shined here as well, too.

Um, Rhoda Williams, uh, really, uh, showed a, a lot of great range here as an actress, and of course, she had a lot of experience.

Rhoda Williams started on national radio when she was only nine years old, and she was cast as a boy on NBC's I Want a Divorce, was the name of it.

Join us again next week when we'll be back with Father Knows Best, starring Robert Young as Jim Anderson, with Roy Bargy and the Maxwell House Orchestra.

In our cast were Norma Jean Nelson as Kathy, June Whitley, Rhoda Williams, Ted Donaldson, and yours truly, Bill Foreman.

So until next Thursday, good night and good luck from the makers of Maxwell House, America's favorite brand of coffee, always good to the last drop.

Father Knows Best was transcribed in Hollywood and written by Ed James.

Well, now wait.

Claude said the Williams...

Y- you know the Williams down the street.

I know where they live.

Well, they wanna sell that green coupe.

Absolutely.

Bud, where is this car?

Uh, like I told you, it's in the Williams' driveway, just half a block down the street.
