So they have all those towns that we go to as well.

And they each either have a little nurse-led community, a community where the doctors, the RFDS might fly in and have...

Or they have nothing.

Or they have a little hospital, like a little MPHS, a multi-purpose hospital service, where they'll be nursing home beds and they'll have acute.

Damien works in remote Australia as a doctor with the local hospital and the Royal Flying Doctor Service, facing medical emergencies, social challenges and the strain of a long distance relationship.

Amid exhausting cases and harsh conditions, he learns that small acts of care and human connection matter as much as dramatic rescues.

[bell rings] They call it the Tour de Prairie, and each year the local school runs the bike ride as a fundraiser.

They choose a different charity to donate to each time, and this year the funds are going to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service flies patients in tiny towns to hospitals in big cities to get the help they need.

There are lots of locals who use the service or know someone who does, so it's a very special thing to be able to raise money for something they all care about.

Like, the people in the charity, they feel very grateful that people are trying to support them and help them.

[dolphin jumps] All right, it's time to get quizzical.

[upbeat music] Question one: who has the speedy robot managed to run faster than? Usain Bolt.

Question two: who are the bike-riding kids raising money for this year? The Royal Flying Doctor Service.

They had the lamb rolls.

Lamb rolls from the, was it the RFDS?

I never got dinner once.

That's right.

We could donate it when we're done.

So we raise the funds and we put it in writing that when we are done with it, doing what we want to do, we'll donate it to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

That's a charity.
