It's, uh, Niels Huizingveld.

Uh, Niels came to prominence in the noughties when he started modding rFactor, helping create a series of incredible vehicle mods, including the awesome Historics mod.

Um, he was in the physically done Reiza Studios Automobilista, which is massively renowned for its handling model, and then he founded the hardware company, Huizingveld Engineering, which has a fantastic reputation for quality in the sim racing industry, and he still regularly dabbles in modding to this day.

I need more of that." So then we started playing, uh, lots of "Grand Prix Legends" also online in 2001 and '02.

I became a student, and we had internet and stuff like that, which was, you know, it sounds weird, but that was sort of cool to have internet access, uh, for, for me back then.

So lots of online racing there, and then from like 2007, six, seven, rFactor 1 came out, and I started to tweak, uh, files and numbers.

I had no idea what they did, but then I sort of started modding without any direction or thought behind it.
