Reverend Robert Alden

She falls down and breaks her leg.

So he's just like thinking, like, am I leaving something behind in the next day in church? Which should be a month later, right? Because as far as, you know, we learn later that Reverend Alden only goes to the church once a month.

Mm-hmm.

Because he is the time between Walnut Grove and Sleepy Eye.

Sorry.

I said in another episode that I was introducing Kevin Hagen as Reverend Alden.

And I know who it was.

I just switched my names.

Kevin Hagen played Doc Baker and Dabs Greer was introduced as Reverend Alden.

So there you go.

I said my mea culpa.

He used to believe in God, but when his tragedy struck, that kind of leaned him away from God, made him question God.

Grace is shocked at the notion and immediately shuts this guy down, which I didn't love that because – I've seen episodes of Little House where the exact opposite happens, where you see a character, like a grandfather, trying to urge his grandson to be a Christian, and it's Reverend Alden that's like, no, your grandson is... you know this is what he's interested in you just have to love him don't convert him just love him so i really like that message so in this episode we got kind of the exact opposite message it's like you don't believe in god um i kind of don't want to have anything to do with you here so that's where we leave this one where he is kind of rejected by grace and he decides that he's going to move out he's like I'm kind of done.

The next time we see him, like you said, this is the evolution of old Dan Tucker.

This is where he does the sad old Dan Tucker singing.

I'm surprised they didn't play that song.

I'm surprised Reverend Alden's not standing there drinking lemonade under a tree watching.
