Reverence

To him pay your constant adorations.

Reverence the august guest who has been pleased to make your body his sacred abode.

Love him, obey him, worship him.

Take care never to impute the vain imaginings of your fancy to him.

It's the word respect.

Many people believe in God, but they do not reverence Him.

Reverence, yirat Adonai, the spirit of the fear of the Lord.

When the fear of the Lord is restored in a life, in a home, in a nation, you see that now? It, it, it makes way for revival.

I'd like you to pray whilst you are seated and cry unto the Lord that He restores the fear of the Lord in your life and restores your passion and your hunger.

I plead with you here today to be careful as to how that you in this act of worship, how you receive or how that you reject the word that is coming in your direction today.

Reverence in our day increasingly is getting lost because we have forgotten again the majesty and the awe of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And so whenever David asks these questions here in Psalms, He says, who's going to abide in your tabernacle? Who's going to dwell in your holy hill? He keys in on two things that you can boil it down in that subject there that is in that Psalm 15.

He's talking about moral integrity and he's talking about

So of the weeds of worship, which spring up in the priest-ridden mind.

Reverence may be cultivated by superstition.

Good conduct may be enforced by terror.

If superstition and terror be exploded, the reverence and good conduct must be cared for and be better directed.

But then Jude continues and he says, but I find it that I must write something else, urging you to defend and contend for the faith.

And today, the sermon that I'll preach to you today is titled Restoring Reverence.

Restoring reverence.

Before I begin, I would like to give a note that this sermon is not directed at this church, but as an evangelist, there are certain words that are given for the nation.

God speaks.

Hallelujah.

What is reverence? Reverence is a deep, all-filled and worshipful respect for someone, or in this case, for God.

And in our case, it stems from His holiness, supreme authority, expressed through humble submission, obedience and also honoring him in all aspects of life in all aspects not just on the stage or on the pulpit but in every aspect of our life someone once said the best way we can honor someone's life is to live ours like they're still speaking today the way we live and speak is an indication of if we revere God or not we must first understand that everyone here today is an image bearer, is an image bearer.

All her body was clear and transparent as the purest glass, for she was all presented to the sense.

Devotion, Order, State, and Reverence her shadows were; Society, Memory; all which her sight made live, her absence die.

A rich disparant pentacle she wears, drawn full of circles and strange characters.

Her face was changeable to every eye, one way looked ill, another graciously; which while men viewed, they cheerful were, and holy, but looking off, vicious and melancholy.

We have to press in in these ways.

Reverence comes out of this relational piece.
