Reunion Blues

So we'll go with, um, one of Milt Jackson's compositions, which was quite well known.

Reunion Blues is the title, which I particularly like.

It wasn't a reunion, of course.

It was actually a first union.

[jazz music][jazz music] "Reunion Blues" from the album Very Tall, recorded in 1961, and suc-- certainly successful enough to lead to three more joint recordings later on.

Well, we now approach the time to close the lid on this little tribute to register, albeit a few months late, the, uh, hundredth anniversary of the birth of one of the towering figures of jazz, Oscar Peterson.

He did play Ireland.
