Return to Ravnica

I'm literally...

The first set that came out when I started playing Magic, started playing, was Return to Ravnica.

Mm-hmm.

Oh my

I even saw a thing today, literally right before we started this, Yuki Ichikawa.

So correct me if I'm mistaken, but this is the same player who, when faced in a pro tour back when, I think it was Return to Ravnica was happening.

facing down a 5-5 trampling worm and a scavenging ooze, knowing that his opponent had a Celestia charm.

Okay, that's just the name of the card, though.

I

started playing EDH and Return to Ravnica.

Yeah.

nerd and this might be too personal let me know but you were also in somewhat of a magic house that seemed like a bit of a pressure cooker

right right that was huge the introduction of like set identities

yes exactly the world like it was so it was incredible uh and then we got return to ravnica which was a return to Magic the Gathering for a lot of players.

It was a big thing.

You would have players being like, oh my God, they went back to Ravnica? Maybe I'll start playing again.

great.

Yeah.

Because I liked Return to Ravnica and Gatecrash, but I liked the mechanics in Guilds of Ravnica better.

Yeah.
