Retrospective

We're tackling the Sprint Retrospective for the CAPM exam.

This is the final formal event of the Sprint.

Its purpose is to plan ways to increase quality and effectiveness.

The CAPM exam will try to trap you.

The most common trap is confusing the sprint review with the sprint retrospective.

The sprint review is about inspecting the product, the what, with stakeholders present.

The sprint retrospective, which happens after the review, is about inspecting the process, the how, and includes only the scrum team.

Another major trap is viewing the sprint review as just a demo or a presentation.

While a demonstration of the increment is part of the event, its purpose is to facilitate conversation and feedback, not to be a one-way presentation.

And I think it's even more important that whoever does it is good in facilitating these sessions.

I think the skill of facilitating a group conversation, and that could be a retrospective, that could be a workshop, a stakeholder workshop, something like that, let alone user interviews, but that's a different kind of skill.

But facilitating such a session where people have to talk maybe about interpersonal conflict, maybe about why is this one person always taking over this other person in the meeting? So stuff that is really tricky to talk about and that needs to be moderated well, that needs to be prepared well, Somebody has half the time and the skill to prepare these sessions and to facilitate these sessions.

So I'm very passionate that there need to be some people somewhere in an organization doing that well.

That's your role.

But you can see what the team thinks about a particular topic.

So, yeah, facilitation and time to have something like a retrospective would help.

This study looked specifically at that perivulvar region in sixty-four dogs to see if it's a bad spot.

Retrospective, of course, with all the usual caveats of missing data and potential biases.

The cohort of sixty-four dogs over an eleven-year period is reasonable.

They found that eighty-five percent were QUP low-grade.
