Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

...

the new Resident Evil, like, right?

Yes.

Yeah.

...

Carpenter.

And the new Resident Evil soundtrack, it feels like someone was just like, "Okay, guys, listen to..."

Mm.

Mm-hmm.

Personally, I will take Resident Evil any day over this.

Oh, Resident Evil is a...

You know, as much as, you know, people say, "Well, it's a game adaptation," it really is a terrific movie.

Oh.

You know? Um, so I, I would...

If, if, if you needed a recommendation between the two, I'd say Resident Evil any day.

But you know, if you just like the goofy fun, then this is it.

Yes.

And so in the effort of not confining ourselves but also being able to watch all sorts of movies through a rainbow lens, we have both watched Resident Evil.

We have.

Disclaimer, neither of us have seen anything else in the franchise.

Oh.

Yeah, disclaimer, I have not seen any Mila Jovovich Resident Evil movie, nor have I played any Mila Jovovich

Resident Evil game.

Nor did I know until yesterday when I was scrolling through the streaming services that there was also a Resident Evil TV series.

I'm not gonna make you roll for that.

Meanwhile, meanwhile, I am, I know, th- this is a, this is a, a, a, a very new reference, so I don't know if anybody here has seen the new Resident Evil movie.

Um-

I haven't, but I want to.

Definitely.

typical Resident Evil Raccoon City shit right one thing I guess we'll kind of just talk about the things that we enjoy I love that this takes place in our character let me pull up my boy's name real quick Austin Abrams which I forgot his actual character in the movie Brian thank you Brian I love that it It gives him the motive to continue going through because he has to carry something to a hospital that's a very important piece because he's a carrier.

He's a...

Go ahead.

I think it's just that, for me, it's...

It's real, like, because it's better made, but it's like what I watched, it's like a movie like, what's the name of a depressing movie? You can name a movie that's a 10 out of 10 that's depressing, but I'm not going to watch it again, right? I think that's where I am with this, where it's definitely better than Welcome Raccoon City, but Raccoon City I might just put on as like, oh, here's my junk food, where this, I think it's a movie where I could kind of get annoyed about when I watch, like, fuck, this could have been this, this could have been that.

So I definitely can't say that, but it's weird that, like, I don't know how I'm going to feel when we do our rankings episode next month.

I don't know.
