Resident Evil: Retribution

Yeah.

So after Afterlife, 2012 brought us Resident Evil Retribution.

And then 2016 gave us Resident Evil, the final chapter.

I just wanted to get your thoughts real quick.

We can start with Retribution.

I know you watched it too.

What did you think of that one real quick?

Dude, that one is just like, hey, what if we just did all the cool action sequences, and that was the whole movie, and we really just didn't care about the story, and we introduced some of the cool characters you've been waiting for, and it was 85% action and 15% story, and we just made it awesome.

I didn't.

I liked Retribution here.

But why didn't you rate it?

I could.

And I was like, that's cool.

I was like, I don't mind that.

Retribution was one I actually liked more than the others.

And then it has another very wild setup.

Resident Evil Afterlife.

Resident Evil Retribution.

Resident Evil The Final Chapter.

And then it wasn't The Final Chapter because there's Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City.

I'm Joe.

And I'm Josh.

And welcome to Video Dropbox, where for the month of October, we're browsing our video store shelves to choose some spooky staff picks.

And Joe, it's finally here.

Miss Mila Jovovich for Resident Evil Retribution.

This year's Resident Evil is still number one at $60.1 million.

But then we have Resident Evil's Apocalypse, Afterlife, Extinction, the 2002 original, and Resident Evil Retribution at numbers 2 through 6.

This year, Street Fighter, adjusted for inflation, comes in at number 7 at $30.7 million.

Resident Evil The Final Chapter is at number 8, 1994.

But he was on four episodes of that.

He was in Resident Evil Retribution.

yeah he was barry i know that the resident evil movies and i know that zach crager is technically also not super game accurate but kevin duran did play one of my favorite characters from the game his name is barry and i can only say his name in a social setting like barry because that's how the game grumps would say his name crates and barrels barry he's just like a supporting character that keeps you safe and he's awesome he was in 11

episodes of lost he was also i don't think you see his face i think he's covered up but he is in scooby-doo two monsters unleashed oh my god he Right.

...

Resident Evil Apocalypse, Resident Evil Extinction, Resident Evil Afterlife, Resident Evil Retribution, and then 2016's Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which was also, all of them, I think, were directed by Paul W's An- WS-

Yeah

... or, what the shit, Anderson.

There we go.

I'm so excited for Jay to get to Retribution, which is-

Oh, yes.

[laughs]

[laughs]

Well, to...

I, I do wanna say, to that same degree, I recently re-watched Resident Evil: Retribution because, uh, my cousin and buddy were over, and they...

I wanted to, I wanted them to finish out the Resident Evil franchise 'cause they had never seen the remaining three movies after, um, the third one.

Hmm.

2012, Resident Evil: Retribution, Anderson.

Yeah.

2017, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter-
