Resident Evil: Retribution

Okay, it starts with just giving up.

It no longer even undoes the previous movie's ending on screen.

Now it's just gone.

It happened without you seeing it.

Wesker doesn't count.

It's so funny, because...

Like, they spent the last two movies pretending Jill was a big deal, and they get her back at the end of the last movie, and then she vanishes.

Yep.

I think it's just something I think that was like a couple of critics thought would be funny and then it kind of blew up and became this thing that people got really intense about.

I think this, so before I saw this movie, I saw Resident Evil Retribution.

And we kind of put it on as a joke, just being like, let's just watch something stupid, right? And I was blown away by how insane that movie is.

Retribution.

Just some guy.

You're a Resident Evil 5 fan, right? Sure.

It's my favourite one.

Yeah, it's got the big bat in it.

So he's from that game.

The chest spider jewel, which is the P30 injector, that's from that also.

So there's some Resident Evil 5 stuff in this which makes sense.

But they're not in

You get Carlos Oliveira.

um played by a dead fair you know and you get nemesis so you know if you are a fan of the movies it is one that that does feature some movie stuff uh sorry movies the games it does feature some bits and pieces from the games that perhaps you wouldn't be expecting so you know um it does have that aspect So what's my number one? Well, there's only one left, and it's actually the fifth entry in the series called Resident Evil Retribution.

Now, this one, I like to call this one the video game one.

And this one isn't a good movie.

Again, I'm trying to figure this stuff out.

It's like a therapy session for me.

But Resident Evil Retribution...

Firstly, it has to deal with the end of Afterlife, which, as I said, involves Alice being on a boat surrounded by a bunch of people who are going to open fire on her.

Today we are discussing Resident Evil Retribution from 2012.

We are doing a show about franchises.

In an uncertain business, it's always very helpful to rely on some things that should change.

I don't know where they fall in all of this.

I mean, it's going to be I'm very excited at this stage for the for the sixth movie to see how it all kind of wraps up.

But yeah, that is the plot of Resident Evil Retribution at this stage.

We did it.

Ugh.

And that's right, we finally made it to the fifth Resident Evil film in the Paul W. S. Anderson series that he didn't direct all of, but wrote many of and is responsible for that fuck, Resident Evil: Retribution.

This, gentlemen, is the highest Rotten Tomatoes score since the first movie.
