Reshiram

The hobby has been finding new ways to give that orange lizard money since the late 90s.

Now, Reshiram brings its own fanbase and gives the card something more interesting than a solo Charizard release.

The pair belongs to the tag team GX era, which has become increasingly recognizable now that Pokemon has moved on from the mechanic.

That visual identity matters.

You see one and immediately know the era.

Now, SM247 has another advantage because it is a promo rather than normal booster pack pull.

The English Gold version came in the Reshiram and Charizard GX Premium Collection, which was released in November of 2021.

And this one was a Walmart exclusive in the United States.

Yeah.

Yeah, there's nothing too, again, like the full art style cards or like the bigger chase cards, again, when you have your Charizard, your Umbreon, your Rayquaza's, Mew's, Pikachu's, Magikarp, and then your Reshiram and Zekrom, the original black and white cards, which the BWRs were, you know, paying homage to there.

But yeah, like even if you look at Blastoise, the Blastoise reprint, 15 bucks, Venusaurus, 10 bucks.

Like, again, if you believe in, this set or you believe in pokemon as a super long term like picking up the base set trio at this price point is probably a good pickup i mean 10 bucks cheap like okay cool you know but like i don't know i don't know like i don't think like i i luckily i master set this when i came back into pokemon um but yeah that's really it it's nothing too crazy to to even discussed yeah what is what's on the other page what's on the last page the clay doll

I kind of think they overcooked it or the...

Like, it's a weird combination of, like, they leaned into that so much that they actually only had, like, one Reshiram, one Zekrom-

N is officially Team Plasma's king and gets the big legendary showdown.

He has Reshiram or Zekrom, a little 52, depending on the version, or black or white.

He has Kurokasta, Vanillox, Archops, Zero Arc, and Clean Clank.

has two types, though.

Zekrom and Reshiram.

Aren't they kind of like the same Pokemon? Like, evolves from the same Pokemon, I think?

Yeah, but this is our level.

Reshiram, Zekrom are hard to not.

But again, are they big, powerful Pokemon, or are they the top 30 Pokemon? Fine, okay.

And I don't think they are.

black and white? I fell off around these gens anyway, so I'm not even mad about it.

I mean,

the answer for this gen would be Zekrom and Reshiram, but no.

But you agree you have to have Greninja on a top 30 list.

Maybe I'm this week's podcast, but, uh, Two of those 24 movies are the black and white movie.

One is Zekrom and Victini, and the other is Reshiram and Victini.

And they're, like, literally the same movie, except the legendary is different.

And, like, they swap out.

Obviously, I would love to see Zoroark That deck really doesn't rotate.

The more that I've been looking at Zoroark, List, and just kind of theorycrafting in mind, I am really liking not so much the Zekrom, but the Reshiram coming back because there just is not a lot of one... one-hit KO potential.

I have seen, obviously, we talked about it last week where Gabe Fernandez was playing and got runner-up with that.

He's had a couple different lists.

I mean, it's always worth updating, though.

But we've got Crowned Swords Asian, uh, Palkia Origin, Metagross, uh, just the regular one, not the Shadow, uh, Kyurem White, Lunala, Xerneas, Dialga Origin, Reshiram, Crowned Shield Zamazenta, and then Kyurem Black.

Kyogre trying to sneak in there at number 11.
