And many are wondering what the hell Exophase did.

Well, someone claiming to be the owner of Exophase on Resetera says it hits a screw-up on Valve's end.

Valve, I don't think, has addressed it, but we've had, like...

Dozens of games.

It may have been a canceled prototype.

Exophase owner Mike Bendel, also known online as x3Sphere, explained the situation on ResetEra, saying, "The leak appears to have been a mistake with Valve's API, which seems to have lifted the restrictions on access to achievements." Responding to a user who suggested that, quote, "Something has gone catastrophily, catastroph- catastrophically wrong on Steam's end," end quote, Bendel replied, quote, "I am the owner of the site, and this is what appears to have happened." Uh, he added, "Seems like a possible screw up on Valve's end.

A bunch of games with achievements that should be private are accessible through the API right now, and that's why they got scanned into the site.

I usually never see games without an actual name pop up with achievements, yet over the past hour or so, a bunch have, parentheses, when there's an unknown game, you usually just get sent to the app ID," end quote.

Now, it looks like the studio is preparing for layoffs.

As spotted and translated over on ResetEra, DONTNOD shared a press release where they explained that they were embarking on a, quote, transformation initia- initiative to maintain their competitiveness," end quote.

Mm.

The release goes on to explain, "Against a backdrop of profound changes in the economic conditions in the video game industry and its financing, coupled with a deteriorate, deterioration in the group's key economic indicators, the company believes it is necessary to adapt its operating model.

So by the way, I, I don't know if I, uh, um, I only saw this because someone tweeted it at me, but- On ResetEra, they were freaking out.

Like, NeoGAF was a very...

For people that don't know NeoGAF, it still exists, but NeoGAF kinda melted down some years ago.

It spawned this offshoot called ResetEra, which is, like, really amongst the-- It's, like, the Mos Eisley Cantina of video games.

So-

Even ResetEra has more positive talk lately for Xbox than PlayStation 4.

I mean, PlayStation continues to step in it, right? Like, are we kidding us? Or are we kidding ourselves? PlayStation has done everything ass backwards.

The footage, as we reported yesterday, showed roughly two and a half minutes of gameplay circulating via ResetEra, apparently taken from an August 26th test build.

Now acknowledging the leak, EA added, quote, "But now you know, and we've got a lot more to show you.

See you when we're ready," end quote.

It was a, a Metacritic thing for the games that are coming out in September.

And I thought, "This is a great discussion topic." Uh, so this comes from ResetEra.

Why don't you s- uh, set this up for us?

Uh, but the choices that they give are Oninusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Control: Resonant, Trails in the Sky Second Chapter, Silent Hill: Townfall, and Marvel's Wolverine.

I think the big one that they missed, at least looking at the reactions, uh, from the, uh, posters in the thread, is Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, which is also coming out in September.

And a lot of people think that is probably the, the favorite on ResetEra to get the highest score.

Um- But man, I think it just goes to show it's been an amazing year in terms of game releases.

Fans on the ResetEra forum have been trialing the new technology on several games, including C- Control and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Now, Central Xbox goes on to say this: "Rumor: New Ori game is on the way.

According to recent information on ResetEra," and take that with a grain of salt, "a new Ori game is in development.

Now, the rumor is that it's being handled by one of Saber Interactive's divisions.
