I wanna say I grew up, but it's like I grew up as a podcaster.

I grew up in my podcasting presence in the era of, like, the quirky, punny titles working for podcasts, like Reply All or, you know, something like that.

And so that's kind of, like, where I started.

And then I learned through just kind of, like, maturing in podcasting that, like, that doesn't work out so well.

I might return to him in the future.

And if you do want a more in-depth one, the podcast Reply All, episode number 40, is an investigation and an interview with him and stuff.

So if you want to learn more about this guy and his weird libertarian compound and everything, it's a fun lesson.

Yeah, I could see that.

I miss Reply All.

Yeah.

It was a big influence on us.

And of course, when you do edit something, it just says username fucked around with this post at such and such a time, which I always thought was funny.

familiar, no. It's like the former, and not to get into the controversy of it all, but the former Reply All host and their whole thing, which actually, if we can go back to the question about what can I talk about all day, is that entire saga of what happened.

And I would love to watch a documentary or a vulture oral history about like everything that happened there with the, the fallout of that podcast and the, cause they were doing the butt of a tea controversy, the whole thing.

But the new podcast origin is always just like some very snitch specific, uh, question, usually revolving around the internet, um, in some way.

A sometime activist for the national four-day workweek and a full-time radio genius.

I worked with Tim for many years at a previous show called Reply All.

He was the show's editor.

Tim was the person who gave Reply All its signature weirdness, who built stories that ran on an engine of absurdity and adventure.

When I think about episodes I love from that old show, like Boy in Photo or Long Distance, I see Tim's bong-hit sense of adventure plastered all over them.

But we were talking this week because over the summer, I'd been listening to a new series that he'd edited, which had captivated my attention.
