stan so hard.

We stan Brendan Fraser and everybody should go see Rental Family because it was really good.

Oh my gosh, that was so good.

It was such a nice movie.

I had the coolest experience.

Have you seen the movie Rental Family? No.

With Brendan Fraser? No.

First, you would love this movie.

Okay.

And he's an actor.

And he accepts this job where they're a rental family.

They go and pretend to be.

He was fine in that.

I thought, I thought Rental Family was, like, bad

Mm.

Did you see that?

Let's toss this out there, too.

Is there gonna be a scenario like a Rental Family where-

Where it should be in-

... we had the, the, the previous-

but, like, where, where is it? You know? Like-

Yeah.

'Cause the screenings building, building up to Rental Family, like, all of the talk was that it was, it was an unbelievable can't-miss, and then it hits that festival and everyone's like, "It's okay."

And we saw it.

Can't remember the name of it now, but it's that one where Brendan Fraser's in, uh, Japan.

Rental Family.

Oh.

I think that's what it's called.

Okay, now let's talk about another movie.

This next one is called Rental Family, and this is a very beautiful and sweet and sometimes funny movie with Brendan Fraser, where he is an American actor who uh working in i want to say japan and um he's been living there for a long time just trying to get acting work just trying to live his life and he loves it there and he falls into a job where people which i guess i assume this might be a real thing um where people um oh are hired to pretend to be somebody else.

And depending on the situation, the people involved may or may not know that he is not really who he says he is.

And yeah, gets into some interesting situations for sure.

I do recommend it.

I liked it.

Rental family.

All right.

So instead, I will have to give you another dramatic reading

of my litter-boxed rental family.

If you put the whole rental family as a business aspect aside, and that's a big mental lift to do as the business model would certainly be the subject of weekly court battles and exposés and solely focus on the loneliness and longing of the human spirit for connection, I think that there's something here.

Comparing what Phillip, this is Brendan Fraser's character, does to sex work was an interesting way to start the film as he looks to fulfill personal roles as an actor that people would otherwise be missing.

But you always are waiting for that other shoe to drop when the contract runs out and the aspects of that family relationship, seeing if they're real to both parties, a relationship that never would have formed as two strangers.

But at least this ride for this ride, the performances he and the others have, they felt genuine enough.

So I allowed myself to jump on.

Wait, what was the name of the movie? Rental Family.
