And some of the deliveries and pronunciation were off, but in a way that would have been caught by a native English-speaking person, if not the director or the person writing them.

And I got to a point where you're responding to a job to do a renovation on a fire department, like a fire station, where the guys got drunk and threw a party and used a grill indoors and caught fire and you've got to clean up all the soot or whatever.

And one of the guys in a stilted delivery but American-accented English says, oh, it'll just be a quick Reno and we'll be good to go.

Oh no.

So I

was like, all right, no, the word Reno, like the city has nothing to do with the word reno, like renovation.

And so I was like, let me go and check because I just bought this.

I just like wishlisted it because it seems like it's right up my alley.

I don't know.

And we're having this incredible conversation with your older brother who was an architect and saying, this is what you really need to be doing.

And then to take it to where it would come out as, you know, student architects and talking to the group in Wisconsin that needed the, the Reno and getting 400,000 and then kind of taking it to DC and then the whole nine yards, pretty remarkable journey.

Yeah.

And then I had, again, you know, doors just opened.

Renovation isn't just about tiles and mood boards.

It's about people and the personalities, as well as the stories that help make the decisions.
