At 1900 hours, Lippert's uncommitted battalion, under SS-Hauptsturmführer Günter Schulze, receives orders for the Wageningen area.

It deploys just west of Renkum, alongside the Kriegsmarine of Schiffsstammabteilung 6-14.

These are most likely the Germans, whom B Company of the First Border encounters, in the dark, at the Renkum brickworks.
