Renfrew County

Um, the Algonquin Trail, which you got to experience, is a very new thing to our community.

So, like, uh, the county of Renfrew has put, uh, money in to develop it, and every municipality has been able to put their own twist on it.

We, in Petawawa, have, uh, paved a parallel, uh, trail beside it, um, just to make things safer and more enjoyable for everyone so they can experience how they want to.

But that's, um, that's a really neat thing that's been put in our community.

[laughs]

... we have a population of, what do you call it? We have a, a section of people here in Renfrew County called Mennonites, and their business models are excellent.

Yeah.

They buy the farms with cash, and their farms are thriving.

After all, he had already used them.

There's a companion case to Renfrew County that's worth mentioning briefly in Killetlow-Haggerty-Richards.

An integrity commissioner investigation found a mayor had abused the strong mayor powers, engaging in bullying, intimidation, and harassment of town staff.

The penalty was 180 days of pay.
