So he really only gave up one goal through 57 minutes of hockey.

And so I think for the Devils, like, it's just really focusing on those defensive, uh, like minimizing the defensive breakdowns because the, the reason that the Devils are in this position is they didn't invest heavy in terms of salary in the goaltending position, right? So if they have $100 million invested in the forward and D group, and then only $3.9 million in the three goaltenders, we haven't even talked about the third goaltender, Remy Poirier, who was claimed before the season off waivers from the Dallas Stars organization.

He hasn't gotten into a game yet.

But if you have th- the go- these goaltenders in this position, the defense in front of them has to play, uh, up to a standard that you would expect when you're investing so much money in that group.

And that doesn't necessarily mean giving Connor Hellebuck a look.

But like we talked about a little bit earlier, like, why did you get Remy Poirier just to have him sit in the press box every night? Like, I think you got to give him a

chance.

You're not going to get Sam Montembeau now.

I think the Comets lost last night, if I'm not mistaken, but they're off to a good start.

You have David Riddick down there.

I mean, I know they want to give Nico Dawes a chance, and he's coming off a pretty good start against the Rangers, but... you're not going to take Jake Allen out, right? He's not going to be the odd man out if you put Remy Poirier in.

And I think, based on his AHL numbers, that he could be better than Nico Dawes.
