In Australia, St. John's Orphanage in Goulburn is known as one of the most haunted locations in the country.

Opened by the Sisters of Mercy and the Catholic Church in 1905, it housed up to two hundred boys who were often treated cruelly and used as labor.

They were given only one set of clothing and were regularly beaten and caned.

Neglect was rampant and many boys received little education.

So they've touched a lot of land and a lot of lives, and they certainly have been a big impact in my life.
