Relight My Fire

And on this very week in 1993, Take That and the legendary Lulu were tripping the light fantastic with this one.

["Relight My Fire" playing]

"Relight My Fire", 1993, this very week.

That one was topping the UK charts.

We remember that week of the year of '93, and we'll be into the noughties tomorrow around about this time on your Light Lunch.

yeah

So 13th of October 1993 was Take That and Lulu, Relight My Fire.

And then 1994 was Take That, Sure.

So we should probably talk about Take That a bit.

Yeah,

I'm not a fan of Sure.

Relight My Fire, I like Relight My Fire a bit more.

Definitely the better song

Uh, first though, the radio.

And at, uh, number one in the singles chart was Take That with Lulu doing Relight My Fire.

It's a cover of a Dan Hartman disco song from 1979, and it was Take That's second number one.

Lulu had first charted with Shout in 1964, so she'd waited over twenty-nine years for her first number one, uh, which was a record back then.

Here's Take That and Lulu.

Relight my fire.

Oh.

Your love is my only desire.
