I, I've said it before.

I actually said it on my commentary today that I remember where I was working as a frontline police officer in Regina and we were just, I was just getting my radio.

So I hadn't officially started my shift.

It was just before my shift was supposed to start.

We didn't know what the heck was going on.

I think that that's part of the sobering part of this, Tom, is that there were so many questions.

I mean, I remember people questioning that day in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Are we going to see a terrorist attack? Like, no one, of course, you know, you reflect back on that and it seems like No, we're not seeing a terrorist attack in Regina, but I get it.

I said, who forced you to watch it? Right, yes.

And so, you know, Sean and Jody, and they are from Regina.

They do go to games somewhat often and obviously tune in, you know, as most of the Saskatchewan population does, I guess.

They like their riders.

Last year or two years ago? Last year.

Last year? Mm-hmm.

And then I've gone to a Ryder game with Heisler in Regina because he got free tickets.

And it's like, oh, we just happen to be there for the weekend.

And then wrote a piece with my partner Rachel, who wrote the lyrics for a beautiful piece for a women's choir here in Winnipeg that led to the Sarah Svendsen commission.

And then now I just finished a piece for pipe organ and trumpet, uh, Valerie Hall from Regina and Dean McNeil at U of Sask who heard my pieces, heard the choral piece last year in Kitchener-Waterloo at the Oregon Conference, and was like, "Oh, I think we want you to write something for you." So now it's like, so now purely instrumental music, I'm like, oh my God, I'm realizing how much of a crutch, I don't think that's quite the right word, but that a libretto is or lyrics are for me because when it's like writing absolute music, like what is it about? Like, so I wrote the piece and I played it for Rachel, and she said, "What is it about?" And I was like, "I have no answer to that question." I think the meaning is in the ear of the listener.

So writing absolute music is kind of a trip.

It's like it takes a while to figure out what it's going to be when you're just literally starting from nothing.

And it's the band's highest charting single, hit number nine in Canada.

And my last one, these guys are from Regina, Saskatchewan, Into Eternity and a song called Shallow.

I first got attracted to these guys when I was in the CD store and saw a promo sticker on their Dead or Dreaming album, which this song is from.

that said that this band was a mix of the Florida band Death and Dream Theater.
