Reggatta de Blanc

Steve Gould, I think maybe he and I have talked about this.

Like I remember being a kid, my babysitter had the cassette tape of Reggatta de Blanc or one of those, whatever, one of those Police records.

So many of those tunes are anti what you would think a rock drummer would do.

You know, rock drummer hears Police for the first time or whatever.

In 1979...

The first of the two Police albums came out on this date, Regatta de Blanc.

This one was in 1979, a hit number one in the UK.

It had the huge hits, Message in a Bottle and Walking on the Moon, also got them a Grammy Award.

The Police.

From the album Regatta De Blanc.

Unbelievably, this only went to number 74 in the United States of America.

But anybody who knows the album knows the song, and this song is so popular.

Wow, Sting and the Police.

Message in a bottle.

I feel like The Cure first album is always coming up to me That's what I remember

For some reason Regatta de Blanc comes up for me.

I think the second Police album-

Oh.

That way it won't degrade at all.

You see, I'm not really missing Regatta de Blanc by the police.

So I think I'm good.

Yeah, it's still on your Spotify playlist anyway, so you're fine.
