Reedsburg

The Driftless was made for fall.

Start in Reedsburg and make State Highway 33 your route for adventure.

The road will take you to La Crosse, and it has lots of detours if you want them, excursions and stops along the way, especially if you're looking for outdoor recreation.

You could start with a bike ride on the 400 State Trail.

That's in Reedsburg.

It's wetlands and wildlife and sandstone bluffs and rolling pastures on a 22-mile trail.

If you keep traveling on Highway 33 and reach Ontario area, get your hiking boots ready because it's Wildcat Mountain State Park and Kickapoo Valley Reserve.

end? Yeah, you know, the phrasing never gets old.

It's great.

Well, hey, we are going to talk about, speaking of Reedsburg, first school we're talking about is a Badger Conference team.

I do got to give a shout out.

We'll do it on Tuesday, too, about Reedsburg wrestlers.

Braden Hale, Toomey, and Luke Redner were there, and they ran in the Tin Man.

And I think there was a couple former Reedsburg wrestlers.

Michaela Middlestad was there.

Yeah, it was awesome.

And that is what the overwhelming decision to put this land in.

So it not only affected Mazamanee, Lake Marion, the villages of Cross Plains, Black Earth, it opened up the corridor from the Madison-Middleton area to all the way to the Wisconsin River, and now it's out through Badger Ordinance, it's up the Devil's Lake, it's on its way to Reedsburg.

I can foresee, and it was part of my whole thinking on this, There is no reason we can't have a recreational trail that goes from the Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago area all the way to Hudson and Twin Cities in Minnesota.

It is a project that is very dear to me and one that can be accomplished.

The vote they took shows they're united in demanding the contract that they deserve.

Now, the Teamsters at the Reedsburg facility said, produce butter for Foremost Farms, a major dairy cooperative with operations across the Midwest.

Meanwhile, over 100 members of that same local, again, this is Local 120, the Teamsters at Cass Clay Creamery, have overwhelmingly ratified a strong contract that delivers fair wages, improved health care, a pension, and other workplace protections.

Now, Cass Clay Creamery's Fargo facility is part of Dairy Farmers of America's broader dairy network and produces packages and ships dairy products distributed all throughout North Dakota and surrounding communities, including fluid milk and Stonyfield yogurt packages.
