the story is the important thing here, isn't it? author it's just a different model of television i mean it's a model yeah there used to be this cliche that film was the director's medium and uh television was a writer's medium which isn't true at all in modern television i think modern television is now a producer's medium i will watch most drama series and they'll have what six to eight episodes certain amount about four or five writers and you will not be able to tell the difference between the writing in any of those episodes because everything is governed by a showrunner who sets the tone who explains you know what the limits of the show's world and its characters are and the result is it becomes as bland as producer-led cinema often is you know to me there's no there's no difference between a showrunner run show and watching a big franchise blockbuster where the only aim is to be you know make a solid three and a half star thing that will get them to come back for another one of these next year

yeah that's yeah i definitely agree with that i mean i watched something recently like that um i think is it jane harper who writes the aaron aaron falk novels in australia so it's like a sort of australian uh fed uh so it's like a series of novels where they just follow this australian fed solving crimes and they made a film called the dry which was the first one eric banner And then they weirdly made the second book in the series, which is called Force of Nature.

Things Paranormal Talks To Prof. Cal Cooper
C
10:48Cal CooperGUEST
And you know that the aim is to travel somewhere in your mind and to just speak out loud and describe it, or someone maybe, if it was a telepathy study, is trying to send you something, an image of anything.
C
11:02Cal CooperGUEST
With remote viewing, it could be that a friend or relative has actually gone to the location selected you're told they're walking around and interacting with it they're picking up everything or touching walls and and trying to send it to you so that's the procedure And need for skepticism with that is, well, how do we deal with that kind of data? How do you actually put that in a laboratory? Well, typically we've dealt with postcards and images through to then random video clips.
C
11:30Cal CooperGUEST
And when people go through this remote viewing procedure, there is a video clip selected in the future.
C
11:37Cal CooperGUEST
It's an hour after the study is finished.
