Redemption 87

For me, from where I'm from, the people I knew...

Redemption 87 was a known quantity.

They were our favorite hardcore band from California from the 90s.

It's a weird thing to say because they both feel of the 90s, but also out of that time.

They talked about it a couple episodes ago, maybe even last episode, how there's 90s hardcore, the sound, and then 90s hardcore, just the state of being a hardcore band in the 90s.

Redemption 87 falls into the ladder of those two where they were nineties hardcore because they were a hardcore band from the nineties, but they were also from California, and they were also Bay Area band.

Eric, the singer had previously sang in the late eighties band unit pride.

Members of Redemption 87, I think, had done time or did time in Rancid A F I Any other East Bay hardcore bands too, I believe? There's a lot.

Yeah.

redemption 87, um, unit pride, unit pride, nerve agents, said radio bird legs, which, uh, yeah, that's the new thing.

You have Jade Puget from a little band called AFI on guitar.

He also played in Redemption 87 at the end of the band, I think, after Tim Chunk's I think he replaced Timmy Chunks.
