And then rolling back into construction again, I think it was my desire to want to bring things that were in my head into the real world.

And pretty quickly in even doing my apprenticeship for my Red Seal for carpentry, kind of formal training, and then into project management and into design, I was really driven And towards the envisioning part of it.

So when I've been a part of the actual building part, it's predominantly been driven by the design aspect of what I was doing.

And that's why I originally started Citizen is because I wanted to be in the center of the creating space when it came to like building structures.

It is possible to do that.

And yeah, so the RAP program, the Registered Apprentice Program, really built up my hours and then i could kind of just bang off the technical training and i had my anniversary dates and all that had passed so yeah i wanted to get it before i turned 20 and i was a little bit disappointed that it was like a couple months after i turned 20 is when i got my journeyman red seal so you

know i'll tell you this like one of my biggest regrets in my welding career is not starting earlier to so to see a guy like he was like i'm gonna do this I'm in high school.

I'm doing this right now.

So that was good.

That was good.

And I got the red seal on the first try.

So I was quite proud of that because I know that there's a few people who took a couple of tries to get get that.

No problem.

I am a Red Seal journeyman electrician who became an automation professional through the normal channels, of course.

[laughs] I worked for another systems integrator from 2011 till end of 2016, and then I started JPI Solutions.

Uh, while I was there, I ran their systems integration.
