I'm gonna, uh, talk about the Ottawa Charge for a moment, and I think there are a number of players here who are going to make things certainly very interesting.

You know, you have 15 forwards, a lot of recognizable names of course, um, Rebecca Leslie, Sarah Wiznejewski, Fanueza Katarova, but there's one name in particular as well, and that's Tereza Fischakova, who the team drafted in the third round.

Youngest player in the draft, 21 years old, great forward with Czechia, super phenomenally talented player.

The team's gonna, uh, of course, wanna look at, uh, they've already shared that they're gonna be looking at easing her into the lineup, so it'll be interesting, you know, does that mean starting in the fourth line? Does that mean starting on a wing? Does...

I love...

I think Rebecca Leslie is going to be able to play it.

So, but then you think about like Ottawa and that fan base and how rabid that fan base has been.

And like Rebecca Leslie is their gal now, especially with after this off season.

So you think she's going to get a lot of attention.

So there's going to be a lot there that are going to be in the mix.

Because you look at Team USA, and I don't believe there was any PWHL veterans that were added to the roster that weren't already in Olympic consideration last year.

There's players like Jesse Comfer and Casey O'Brien that are on the roster that weren't on the Olympic roster, but they were already in Olympic camp last year.

Versus for Team Canada, Rebecca Leslie wasn't at Team Canada's Olympic pre-tournament games last year.

Jamie Bourbonnais wasn't like players like that Kendall Cooper like there's a there's a lot of players in this mix that have played their way into this mix and are going to get opportunities because of their PWHL play Sarah Wozniak a great example of somebody that is.

Of course, there are going to be other players out there.

But speaking specifically about Ottawa, you have a unique connection because there's also another fellow Ottawa native on the team in Rebecca Leslie.

And seeing her, so I got thinking, I was like, I wonder what it would be like if I was from the same hometown as a player who's playing pro and is having a monster season for the team, what would that do for my motivation, my, my passion, my drive to also, you know, maybe one day, of course, play for the hometown team, but just, you know, what does it mean for you to see someone from, you know, your same hometown and, have the success, see the success that Rebecca Leslie has had for you, especially again, because you've had so many opportunities to see it much more up close.

Yeah, it's honestly, it's a crazy experience.

Rebecca played in the PWHPA, and she would come out to my ice when I played in the PN and help coach.
