Reading comprehension

That doesn't make any sense either.

How would you disinterpret that? I'm sorry, but this is a reading comprehension issue, to be

honest.

When I first read it, that was actually my first thought was, I was assuming charged at the beginning of the thing.

When you're Just do the job, man.

The job is, I think people think, oh, well, as a journalist, you have to do a lot of writing.

I'm like, yeah, you have to do a lot of writing, but you have to do a lot of research and parsing information and reading comprehension and

parsing.

It's crazy.

I mean, topics for reading comprehension?

Yeah.

I don't even rec- I don't even, I, I don't even clock that there's different topics for reading comprehension.

Like, oh-

No, you don't sit at the end of this section and go, "Yeah, I remember they talked about, uh, spiders in Africa." It's like, what?

Yeah.

Uh, ignore all of this prediction bullshit.

So maybe the ones that she spent a lot of time on involve reading.

Yeah, so most of these first cases that we're seeing here are cases where she, you know, hit her first reading comprehension question and just dug her feet in to the passage itself, waited until she had become a subject matter expert on the content in front of her because there's a little bit of anxiety associated with feeling like you're not getting a really full picture of everything that's going on in the passage.

And as we saw and spoke a little bit about in the verbal leaning session, oftentimes that's kind of smoke and mirrors.

It's kind of there to distract us that we want to make sure we're looking to the structure.

It didn't necessarily pay off.

And a lot of that has to do with the fact that she had kind of convinced herself that if she was doing well in terms of her time per question, she was in solid territory.

She had taken all that time up front and For what it's worth, her time per question on the later reading comprehension questions was in better territory.

She felt like she had the bandwidth to return to the passage, but she didn't feel like she was able to give herself that bandwidth in the earlier questions because she had gone through that passage read-through up front, because she had thrown so much time at it, and because she was getting a little too concerned with that exact time per question metric.

And with that, I want to give you a scripture, um, that's been on my heart, John 8:32.

"You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." And Jesus wasn't talking about reading comprehension, uh, when he said those words.

He was talking about something much greater.

Just before this, Jesus told those who believed in him that they continue in his word, that they were truly his disciples.

It's distinct from it.

recently made a video about reading comprehension great video but i argue it's an issue with listening and basically life in general these days i don't disagree that was the point of the video something had happened in my life that made me realize that there was more of it in terms of like this this hassan piker thing is a great example of it in fact that was the biggest one that was kind of powering it someone was like are you talking about the people who consume your content no like that you're proving my point when you say that Like, don't say that.

That's not the fucking point.

The point is about the broader things I see beyond that.
