Re-Invention World Tour

We did Drown World Tour.

We did Reinvention Tour.

But at the end of Reinvention Tour, Madonna said, we've just spent this tour reinventing so much of my music.

Why don't we just make some new music? And so that's how we just kind of segued into writing new songs.

And we continued really with just that sort of flow that we developed there.

And she said, okay, let's rebuild this tour around that.

Let's start from that as the foundation, which just meant restructuring everything and finding different musicians and finding different ways to kind of mix and present that show.

Maybe on that tour, but definitely on the Reinvention tour, you were actually live mixing the band as a DJ, like fading the band in and out and filtering it, which is a pretty unique and exciting thing to be doing in a live show.

We discussed Madonna in a previous episode not so long ago, um, and I, and I declared my love for her and my, um, my loyalty to her despite the VMAs.

[chuckles] But this is her 2004 Reinvention Tour, one of her T-shirts.

Love it.

I have a whole story around this, um, going to this concert and my three-month-old son prior night having to go to the emergency room, but maybe we'll talk about that a different time.
