Razorblade Tears

And I'm like, I don't know, man.

You read Razorblade Tears, feels, feels pretty close to horror to me.

Close enough that he's very welcome here.

Nobody was giving him a side eye or anything of...

You need

to read Razorblade Tears by S.A. Cosby.

Okay.

I think S.A. Cosby is the author for you.

That's going to be your thing.

Razorblade Tears.

Yes.

I think you need to read that.

He's amazing.

And he's-- Razorblade Tears is a big one.

Blacktop Wasteland.

But he writes about that experience, you know, um, in rural Virginia, which is in Appalachia, which is not really written about as far as, you know, a crime novel.

And the text also nods to the broader landscape of the genre, too.

It references ancient classics like Medea, gothic masterpieces like Frankenstein and The Scarlet Letter, and even contemporary thrillers like Confessions and Razorblade Tears.

Which just proves how inexhaustible this theme really is.

It spans every era, every genre, I think, because the impulse is just so deeply ingrained in our psychology.
