Raynor Carroll

ABAP is the Alliance of Black Orchestral Percussionists, a nonprofit organization that focuses on mentoring future generations of black percussionists.

My name is Raynor Carroll.

I am an ABAP founder and the former principal percussionist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Thank you for joining me on this podcast.

So that's how I got hooked up and he helped a lot in getting it started.

So, and then, you know, I've told this story like at PASIC last year when I had the first booth up, Johnny Lee comes up.

oh you're Raynor Carroll yeah I got all your books yeah you're black yeah but at that point I was not known at least that's what I say but he went and brought you guys specifically and many more to the booth that said you got to get these books yeah So that's the support.

It wasn't just me doing it, but someone else found out about it, a Johnny Lee Lane.
