Raymond Russell

Yeah, everybody had a role to play.

So from Raymond Russell, my vice and Kath, you know, they all had clear roles.

Raymond was my eyes and ears on the golf course, as was Kath.

He was also the caddy master.

And as a junior golfer, I wouldn't really be, you know, scaling the heights that the youngsters are doing now, especially you're seeing 17-year-olds playing in the Walker Cup.

And in Connor's case, this was his third Walker Cup at 19. and so as i progressed from there i left school to study civil engineering and and left that to go to the states and done a golf scholarship along with andrew coltart and things progressed between the ages of 19 21 i kind of got a little bit bigger enough to be able to compete and then between the ages of 21 to 23 i said i really learned to to win so along with The environment that I was in there, along with Andrew, Raymond Russell, Stephen Gallacher, Gordon Sherry and the likes, we were all really focused.

We loved the game.

We got excited to get up in the morning to go and play and to learn.

We were trounced in our inability to manage our way around the course setups at that time.

But with the likes of...

Padraig Harrington and Bradley Dredge and Raymond Russell and Stuart Cage and a whole host of others.

You know, we all went on, most of us went on to not only play in the European Tour, but win on the European Tour.
