Charlie ShawHOST
42:44
But it did look a little silly.
Charlie ShawHOST
42:47
So Ray Park.
Joe JaneroHOST
42:49
What? Ray Park was the horseman.
Joe JaneroHOST
42:53
And yeah, he says he served as the Headless Horseman stunt double.
Joe JaneroHOST
42:57
wore a blue ski mask for the chroma key effect, then digitally removed his head.

Charlie ShawHOST
57:51
I did not see that news headline.
Charlie ShawHOST
57:53
That's hilarious.
Charlie ShawHOST
57:55
Fucking shout out to Ray Parks.
J.W. OckerGUEST
24:26
And yes, it gets a little action-y at times.
J.W. OckerGUEST
24:27
That's because the stunt actor is Ray Park.
J.W. OckerGUEST
24:29
This is Darth Maul playing the role of the Headless Horseman, right? In the famously appreciated movie, The Phantom Menace.
J.W. OckerGUEST
24:37
The best part of that bad movie is Darth Maul.

Maynard BangsHOST
34:45
came out myself.
Maynard BangsHOST
34:45
I'm sorry.
Maynard BangsHOST
34:46
And another good point from JW, you know, pointing out that Ray Park was the horseman.
Maynard BangsHOST
34:51
You know, I think that was a really great one.
Justin WaddellHOST
10:08
So you basically, you posted and asked for questions.
Nick NunziataHOST
10:11
Yeah, Steve maintains a Ray Park fan site, and that takes up a good portion of his time.
Justin WaddellHOST

It's hard

Nick NunziataHOST
20:17
I think his name is Eric Calkins.
Justin WaddellHOST
20:18
Why don't you give out his phone number as well? Where does
Nick NunziataHOST
20:20
he live? Eric Calkins is fond of long walks through Ray Park.
Nick NunziataHOST
20:25
Well, I...
Tom SpinaGUEST
45:51
We had done a Darth Maul mannequin for a costume exhibit for the archives years ago.
Tom SpinaGUEST
45:57
and uh power of the costume we did a bunch of things for that and uh for that one we did a generic head for darth maul blank egghead you would call it and we but we gave it the horns and the markings and that was a kind of neat way to go i always like that um but for that he had to hold this big heavy saber and we devised a way that was like a hidden clamp that came out of the palm and could latch on and be locked in place and hold the saber and we came up with a similar thing for this um And then for the head, very luckily, my friend Philip Robinson had sculpted an amazing Darth Maul head to the point where I've actually seen people try to pass it off as a life cast of Ray Park.
Tom SpinaGUEST
46:45
And, you know, we've had to call out a few people who were like, hey, wait a minute.
Tom SpinaGUEST
46:49
No, that's Philip's sculpt.
Tom SpinaGUEST
47:13
Um, and then, uh, we added his neck scars in.
Tom SpinaGUEST
47:16
I'm trying to remember.
Tom SpinaGUEST
47:17
I don't know if Philip had those in there or not, but, uh, Ray Park has some scars on his neck or at least Darth Maul does.
Tom SpinaGUEST
47:23
Um, and we added his earring, of course, very important.

Stuttering CraigHOST
48:37
I have herpes at all times"?
BlabsHOST
48:37
Can I just say that this guy looks like Ray Park, who's Darth Maul, and it's a bit uncanny and I don't like it.
Stuttering CraigHOST
48:43
Little bit, yeah.
BlabsHOST
48:43
I'm like, "Get Ray Park away from the herpes."
PhoenixHOST
48:48
I mean, when he was Darth Maul, he did have little swords sticking out of his head, so a little bit pathetic.
Stuttering CraigHOST
48:53
Mm-hmm.
Ken TalbotHOST
52:03
And he's played by Darth Maul.
Gary HamesHOST
52:07
Really? I was just about to say, yeah, Ray Park, isn't it? Yeah, Ray.
Gary HamesHOST
52:10
It's a really good fight choreography.
Gary HamesHOST
52:12
You know, the scene on the bridge and stuff is all very Darth Maul, isn't it? Where he's got the sword and the axe and he's whizzing around.
Ken TalbotHOST
52:18
I think he's uncredited.
Ken TalbotHOST
52:20
I think Ray Park is uncredited.
Ken TalbotHOST

Ken TalbotHOST
