Ray Lonnen

Guardian of the Abyss was first aired on the ITV network on the 15th of November 1980.

It stars Ray Lonnen, Barbara Ewing, John Carson, Rosalind Landor and Paul Darrow.

It was written by David Fisher and directed by Don Sharp.

Now, if you're a hammerhound of any calibre, you recognise some of those names.

He looks around at all the cowled figures in the ritual room and delights upon the beautiful face of Alison, played by Rosalind Landor.

To her horror, Randolph decides she is the next young lady to gaze into the glass.

Meanwhile, we are at an antique showroom where Laura, played by the great Barbara Ewing, and Mike, played by Ray Lonnen, are chatting about their acquisitions.

Laura is quite clearly into the more esoteric side of life, being that she mentions astrological signs and comments on Mike's birth date.
