And this myth actually goes back to Stephen Kent's book, The Ultimate History of Video Games, because he interviewed a lot of people.

But he interviewed Ray Kassar, who was the CEO of Atari at the time.

And Ray Kassar said in one of his block quotes in that that, you know, defending Pac-Man, he was like, we shipped 12 million of them, which was incredible.

And so Kent took that number, which Ray Kassar said, 12 million, then looked at the sales that were reported at the time, which were truly around seven, eight million, and was like, wow, they shipped 12 million and only sold seven.

They had six million unsold units.

And it's like, well, no, because Ray Kassar was talking 20 years later.

Yeah, so may not have remembered exactly the right number.
