Ray Evernham

Uh, one thing I find very admirable in your career is the ownership of, uh, Casey Kane Racing, and I'm curious to know, you know, as a guy who's driven for some of the most storied teams, um, in the sport, whether it's, you know, Richard Petty, Hendrick Motorsport, you name it, um, is there anything that you've taken from those guys and applied to your kind of ownership philosophy? And, uh, how do you kind of use that to make yourself a better, more well-rounded owner and driver?

driver?Yeah, I think I've been, you know, really lucky to work with some great car owners over the years, and it all started with, uh, Ray Evernham, and that's about the time we got KKR going, was kind of there in 2005, which was my second year with Evernham Motorsports.

Uh, so yeah, we took a lot off that early on and just tried to, you know, make sense of what we were doing and, um, but also be very competitive.

And I had my cousins and my brother, like, uh, other, uh, Justin, like, just good people have always been a big part of KKR.

Yeah, I had so many good moments.

And, you know, starting out with Ray Evernham and getting that opportunity right away with ...

You know, Bill Elliott called me originally, and he's like, "I want you in the nine, and, uh, I'm getting out." And I just, I just couldn't believe I had that call-
