Oh, another one.

Those Westerns were so loved, weren't they?

And this is Look played by Beulah Archuleta.

She was a member of the Gila River Indian community and did a few films and did some TV shows like Wagon Train, How the West Was Won, Rawhide, The Alaskans, Lawman, Bronco.

So she had a little bit of a career playing these characters, but she was rarely credited in these roles, Steve.

So she might have been just like a glorified extra who got onto these things because of her work on The Searchers and people knowing her name and her appearance.

Having played bit parts and walk-ons for years, Eastwood got his big break as Rowdy Yates on the CBS television series Rawhide.

The part fit him like a well-worn pair of boots.

When we did Rawhide, which was the first steady job I ever had as an actor, it seemed like everybody thought I was a natural to be in it for some reason, but I guess because I was a s- you know, sort of a rangy kid, uh, hanging around the b- backlot at Universal.

And the secretaries around the lot used to call me Coop, you know, as a nickname, so I guess they thought I had the Gary Cooper corrective shoes on or something like that, and I [laughs] was looking rather, uh, l- looking rather awkward.

In fact, by the time Eastwood began his career in Westerns, Gary Cooper was a memory, and it was the very medium that gave Eastwood his start that put an end to the Golden Age of Westerns.

You know, when I was growing up in the 1950s, every night there was a different Western on television.

During the '60s, if you counted the number of hours of primetime broadcast that had Western themes and Western shows on it, it would be a hell of a lot.

Okay, so maybe not number one, so let's try this again.

In 1971, megastar Clint Eastwood Known for his role on TV show Rawhide, his flights of foreign fancy with Italian maestro Sergio Leone with the Man With No Name trilogy, which was capped off, with the masterpiece The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, and his work for fellow American Don Siegel, he decided to step behind the camera for his directorial debut, Play Misty For Me.

an eccentric, bizarre and utterly enthralling film that exists as a precursor to the erotic thriller genre of the likes of Fatal Attraction.

With a story of a woman who becomes infatuated with a philandering local DJ, murder, manipulation and mayhem ensue.

He was a television actor.

And then he gets work from the likes of Don Siegel, who was a big inspiration on this film.

And he thought of first becoming a director during his stint on Rawhide, but that didn't materialize.

He wanted to direct one of those episodes, but he did end up doing some second unit work.

Rowdy Yates was his name.

Clint Eastwood on Rawhide.

And Gil Favor, which was...

I just had his name on the tip of my tongue.

It did have a cool song.

It reminded me of Raw Hide, something like that.

It was a fun little number.

I'm like, oh, this is going to be a good movie.
