Rattle

If you have any poems about current events, anything going on right now in the news, it can be a big news story, a small news story, anything goes.

All you have to do is email it, or not email it, go to rattle.com under content, go to Poet Respond, find the submission portal there, and then enter it by midnight Friday night for a chance to be the Sunday poem of the day.

And of course, if you want to get those poems by email, go to the bottom of any page at rattle.com, type in your email address, sign up for our daily poem by email, get those poems from our issues and the poems from Poetry Spawn and other categories as well.

So we're going to take a quick break and go to our main guest, Mark Yakich.

So sit tight.

And also a reminder to send... your, um, your poem in, you can do it in advance.

You can do it now if you want to.

And I'll put this in the YouTube rattle.community.reading. That's easy at gmail.com. And that way Chelsea can share your poem.

[upbeat music] Well, hello everybody.

This is Timothy Green with Rattle Magazine.

Um, anyway, um, let's go to, so we're gonna go to see what everybody else has for us this week.

Mm-hmm.

And let's go first to, uh, Steven Allen, last week's guest on the Rattlecast.

And- And definitely a great time too.

If you have not read Joshua's The Epic of Aisle 7 on rattle.com, definitely check it out.

I know I, I have recommended your poem to so many people.

[laughs] You know, friends outside of poetry and everything, and it's just, it's a, it's a really wonderful poem, and it's made a lot of people very happy, so- Well, thank you ... thanks again for writing that.
