I kind of thought you were from sort of Fannad or something like that.

Well, no, I think you got that link because my father would have been from Rathmullen and a lot of our holiday time is spent in Rathmullen.

We're for Rathmullen now.

Next week, all of my family, I have, there's four girls in our house and two boys.

So we're all meeting up once a year, have a nice time.

We couldn't beat Rathmullen.

This brings us to the shores of Loch Swilly, where we embark on a ferry boat and cross the loch to Rathmullan.

While crossing, I saw Buncrana a short distance down the loch.

This is a pretty village containing the castle of the O'Dohertys, now in ruins, and near it the castle erected by Sir John Vaughan at a later period.

And many of them were hanged on this same gallows.

It was not a pleasant outlook from one's bedchamber window, but then the victims had been a long time dead and no trouble came from their ghosts.

We soon arrived at Rathmullan, a historic spot where many things happened in the days of yore.

It occupies a sheltered position at the foot of a range of hills that intervene between Lough Swilly and Mulroy Bay, of which the highest point is Crochanafryn, one thousand one hundred and thirty-seven feet.
