there was a, a, gave it a little bit of a, a Rashomon quality and, and that, you know, there's no sort of authoritative rendition of, of truth.

It's sort of like both of these are, are possibilities what might, might have happened, and you as the reader kind of can, you know, hold onto both of them and, and do what you will with them.

Um, but yeah, I mean, the fact that it wasn't, it was very sort of tight in that regard, that was, that was new for me as well.

Um, volume two lets us know what actually went on and, like, you know, what, um, what Mako's, like, motivations were for maintaining that.

So it's, I mean, I don't want to say that this series is Rashomon because, you know, Rashomon is, like, an unimpeachable, you know, standard for this kind of storytelling.

But in terms of, you know, like, unreliable narration, you know, telling you, you know, what's, what you should think versus what actually did happen, well, it does draw you in further in terms of just, you know, like, hey, what's, you know, what should I believe versus, like, you know, what actually happened and all.

So, yeah, this is, so, yeah, the first two volumes are really quite solid in terms of just, you know, telling you, like, oh, wow, it's like, you know, I know what they, you know, what, like, you know, what the story, like, you know, wants us to think versus what, you know, actually happened.

The multiple perspectives of the same scene- It could have been done to provide an effect, to give us more information than we would otherwise have.

The movie Rashomon, I mean, it's, it's famous for the fact that it tells the same story over and over again, but what makes-

Not as much as High and Purity.

You know, High and Low isn't one of the Kurosawa's that I've been dying to watch, um, as opposed to, like, Rashomon or Ran.

But yeah, High, High and Low I decided to watch in the end.

You know, I've, I've only seen Throne of Blood, so I'm always eager to get back into Kurosawa 'cause I really did like Throne of Blood.

Have you seen Rashomon? Yeah.

You never got into X-Files, but I can tell you for a fact, obviously, we've seen a lot of the actors from X-Files on this show.

And I've been, as you know, I've been going through Jared's Walker, Texas Ranger TV show.

The idea being that it's Rashomon, but not about the plot.

It's Rashomon about how the characters view other characters.

It's really interesting for me right now because when I think of Yojimbo, I don't think of that performance as much as Rashomon.
