Raptor conservation

Hailing from Destin, Florida, David's Auburn journey took flight after watching the eagle fly inside Jordan-Hare Stadium during Camp War Eagle.

Today, he helps educate others about raptor conservation through his work with the Auburn Raptor Center while exploring the many possibilities within mechanical engineering, including underwater unmanned vehicles.

If that's not enough, he's also interested in pursuing falconry after graduation.

Apparently, David likes things that fly and things that dive.

there?Yeah.

So the Raptor Center is split up into two halves.

We've got the education side, which is where I volunteer, and then there's the rehab side, which is like the animal hospital, right? And at the, at the education side, that's my expertise, we are all geared towards educating the public about raps- raptor conservation and, uh, what they can do to help raptors in the wild.

And, uh, we have, I think right now, 21 ambassador birds.
