This happened in the Upper Peninsula of

Michigan, north of Rapid River, during the second week of October.

I was 43, and driving for a small gravel outfit my brother owned.

We'd both worked for our father, although my brother had inherited the willingness to argue with customers, and I'd inherited the ability to sit in a truck for ten hours without needing much company.

except for the like the way he hasn't been there for a few years these last few years but um before that he parks in the same spot i know i know the the vehicle like so like if you're gonna hunt there ever again and i'm gonna be up there for a full week and i drive past i will drive past that every single day we're gonna stop and have words i want my fucking camera don't take my shit so long story short um i kind of said i said you know what the up is too big to be dicking around with this dude in this area.
