got i've got 91 i think it came out uh the uk one was 91 so i think it was a year before or thereabouts right uh yeah book one and then followed by book two and when these came out in america they were the american sized so a lot smaller the great thing with british comic sizes is that you know we get bigger pages so we can pour over the art and it's definitely a one-up means there but dark horse are very interesting because they were kind of like the third comic book You had DC and Marvel at that time in America and Dark Horse were the young upstarts that did a lot of work with licensed pieces and went with the Terminator, Aliens, Predator and Star Wars.

And I'll take a lot of this from what I learned from editors previous to me.

Randy Stradley here at Dark Horse for a long time had this great setup for us and I'm looking for a logline, very short summary, fits on less than a page, and a couple pieces of art.

And that logline should have a couple main characters, and not even just the name of the character, but who they are.

Give me a sort of sense of who they are, and what the stakes are, and then what happens if they fail, basically.

I've got only one more question and then we'll, we'll wrap up the best advice you've ever received.

Oh, the best advice I've ever received.

Again, I think it was probably Randy Stradley, you know, worked with him a little bit, just sort of him as the sort of head of publishing or kind of publisher here, vice publisher for a long time.

He would say, if people disappear on you and they don't communicate well, Don't feel like you have to chase them down.

That is fantastic.

That's really one of my favorite extended universe stories and everything.

This is a classic Legends title from 1997 by Mike Richardson, Randy Stradley, and Paul Gulacy, and it is fundamentally a comic about the help.

That is a brilliant way to frame it because the main characters are Kir Kanos and Carnor Jax.

They are royal guards.
