So to talk about all this, I'm joined by Bill LaPlante, who was the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment during the Biden administration.

Randy Schriver was Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security during the first Trump administration.

He's the Chairman of the Institute for Indo-Pacific Security today.

And Celeste Wallander was the Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs during the Biden administration, and is now the Executive Director of Penn Washington.

All of that is part of the deterrence equation when you look at it through Chinese eyes.
