Randall Liberty

It's a very generous program, and it's an incentive to make your money and live here and work here.

Randy Liberty is leaving us as commissioner of corrections.

He's just a wonderful human being.

And he has done so much to turn around the prison population and the corrections population.

We have one of the lowest recidivism rates, meaning people going back to prison, committing more crimes, in the country.

So we're proud of that, too.

And it's because Randy Liberty has taken a hands-on approach to turning people's lives around, making sure they have opportunity and hope.

That's important.

They were protesting outside the Maine State Prison where Andrew Bowser, a 310 pound, six foot tall murderer who killed both his parents with a knife, is being housed alongside women and allegedly abusing them.

And the state and Commissioner Randall Liberty and Janet Mills are refusing to do anything about it still.

There's lawsuits against the prison system because of this, and they're still ongoing there.

There were some lawmakers there like Mike Sobolewski was there at the protests advocating for the women.
