This week, we're going to have part two of that conversation, and I asked Pastor Ramazan if he, as the pastor of the church, if he has to step in and become a father figure to to believers in the church who may have been rejected or cut off from their earthly fathers.
2:54
Not just me, and I can't do that by myself.
2:56
But, you know, let me tell you this, why the church is very important in our context.
3:02
These people in our country, before they became a Christian even, you know, they grew up in a very relational culture.
3:10
Relationship was most important things in our culture, you know.
3:14
And they grew up with this relational culture.
3:18
But after they became a Christian, they cannot be part of that society anymore or family anymore because family doesn't accept them.
5:21
What I sense that you're saying is most of the persecution that people endure comes from the community or the family more so than the government.

7:53
I grew up in a Muslim family.
7:54
I learned about Islam usually from my family and from my society.
7:59
And I was also a member of one of the conservative Islamic group, you know, and I learned Islam from them.
8:06
I did not read the Quran back in those days.
8:09
I didn't do research about Islam.
8:11
I was believing the Islam because what people taught me.
11:32
And then my second question is when you went to the church, did you expect it to be full of foreigners? Like you assumed these were a bunch of Westerners?
