So a couple years ago at Christmas, my family was watching A Christmas Story for the millionth time.

And, you know, folks out there will remember Ralphie Parker, who wants his Red Ryder BB gun.

um he's pining away for it on christmas morning he might remember him coming downstairs and opening aunt clara's pink bunny outfit um which he does not want to wear before he finally gets the red rider bb gun thanks to his dad at the very end of christmas morning but when ralphie comes downstairs and you know he's there with his brother randy and his little brother you know mr i can't put my arms down in the snowsuit he dives into the pile of presents and he finds a toy with his name on it and it's a zeppelin And he goes, wow, it's a Zeppelin and kind of like zooms it around the wrapping paper, falls asleep holding it that night.

And this just kind of led to a little conversation with my family after we watched the movie.

Yeah.

And you'll remember Ralphie Parker, who's dreaming of his Red Ryder BB gun.

This movie, one of my favorite things about this movie is that it makes me feel like they're setting up certain storylines that end up not actually happening.

I thought that there was going to be a motocross race that little Ralphie was going to have to win.

I thought that there was going to be a baseball game that they were going to have to win.

But it's just like...

fan yes and when i saw this i was like this is ralphie parker

in the 80s this is the second chapter of ralphie it opens with a good inside joke with him laying there with the hershey's bar i mean he was messy marvin if you guys yes yes there's an inside joke right there going like we're gonna take you on a ride but if you get it you get it

yeah yeah And the glasses are his Ralphie Parker glasses.

Well,

It's not even a question.

Nonstop indistinguishable gibberish in place of swearing like Ralphie when he's beating up Scott Farkas.

For you youngins out there, that's a reference to the Christmas story.

And it is a great scene of fake swearing.

Except I didn't say fudge.

Yeah.

But even like his dad doesn't say real swears in Ralphie's memory.

He clearly did, but that's not what he's actually saying.
