Raising Hope

Like, two or three years ago, I was watching...

It's a series about Hope, a girl named Hope, which...

I forgot what it's called.

It's, like, a long name.

But Raising Hope, maybe? It's about a guy who hooked up with a serial killer and that got her pregnant.

And then she...

he was executed and he has the baby and takes care of it and like raises the baby.

He'd get a press release from his agent announcing that they parted ways.

Martha Plimpton, she's the Raising Hope actress, posted a video saying, "There's this Shane Gillis guy who I've never heard of who said some really..." And then she said some bad words that I won't say here.

I won't make it rated R.

And she says he deserves a spanking from his mom.

Yeah

... grandmother on, uh, Raising Hope, which is a pretty recent series.

Yes.

Um, recent, like in [laughs] t- what, 10 plus years ago.

Um, Joan of Arcadia, which, um, I actually directed as well.

The O.C., Conviction, uh, My Name is Earl, Better Off, Better Off Ted, um, Raising Hope, Suburgatory.

Just c- great kind of really funny, um, important shows.

Um, and it just goes on, and on, and on, and on.

I created a few TV shows that, uh, some people may have heard of from way back.

Uh, I created a show called My Name Is Earl, another one called Raising Hope, uh-

Familiar

... one called Yes, Dear, and, uh, something called The Guest Book and Sprung and-

Okay, yeah.

Which, he's from Deadwood and Raising Hope.

Yep.

And

I love Damon Lindelof.

I love the True Detective guy.

Once I saw the rest of this cast, because I love the guy, Macon, from Deadwood, and I absolutely love Raising Hope.

Raising Hope was so fucking fun.
